About the Opportunity:

Initiated in 2015, the NITI Aayog Internship Scheme aims to engage talented students pursuing Undergraduate, Graduate, or Postgraduate Degrees, as well as Research Scholars from recognized universities/institutions, both within India and abroad. The engagement tenure for this internship is a minimum of 6 weeks and can extend up to 6 months.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for this fantastic opportunity, you must be a bona fide student of a recognized University/Institution. Here are the specific criteria:

 * Undergraduate Students: Must have completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the 2nd year/4th semester of your bachelor's degree course and secured not less than 85% or equivalent marks in your 12th class.

 * Graduate Students: Must have completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester of your post-graduate program OR be pursuing research/Ph.D. and secured not less than 70% or equivalent marks in Graduation.

 * Recent Graduates/Postgraduates: If you have just completed your Graduation/PG and are waiting for admission for higher studies, you may also be considered, provided you secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all years/semesters of your graduation/post-graduation till the date of application. The period between your final result declaration and the desired internship month should not exceed 6 months (e.g., if results declared in June, apply for internships starting till December).

Important Application Procedure Notes:

 * Apply Online Only: All applications must be submitted online through the NITI Aayog website.

 * Application Window: Applications are accepted only between the 1st and 10th of every month. The deadline for the July 2025 batch is July 10, 2025.

 * Advance Application: You can apply for an internship up to six months in advance, but not later than two months before the month in which you desire to intern.

 * Area of Interest: Clearly indicate your area of interest in your application.

 * One Application Per Financial Year: Please note, a candidate can apply for this internship only once during a financial year.

 * Documents at Joining: If selected, you will need to produce original mark sheets and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your college/institution at the time of joining (format provided in Annexure ‘C’ of the official notification). Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of your candidature
